77 carb

Would it be worth getting this carb off the 77 Granada I got the 5 lug stuff from. Its a single barrel on a 200 or 250?

Yup, sort of.

You should have a Carter YF on your '67 200 with a flow of 187 CFM. It has a throttle bore of 1 7/16 and a bolt spacing of 2 5/8

The Carter RBS on the Granada has 215 CFM. It has a throttle bore of 1 9/16 and a bolt spacing of 2 7/8.

You'll need to taper grind the "heat riser" spacer between the carb and the manifold. You also need to elongate the mounting holes on the carb. Easy enough to do with a Dremel. if you don't have a Dremel, here's your excuse to go buy one.

Next, your 1967 distributor won't work with the RBS - so GRAB THE DISTRIBUTOR OFF THE 250 TOO. The Granada will have a DuraSpark I (not II) with a stealth cap that looks like a points dist. It is a bolt-in change to the 200.

Finally, take the gas pedal and the throttle cable too. It'll solve the throttle linkage problems. If this stuff is free - take the Valve cover (it has the throttle cable attached to it.

Heck, if it is free - TAKE THE WHOLE HEAD! Then you won't have to adapt the carb to it. You can mod the head while still driving the car and swap it all on a warmer Saturday afternoon this spring.

To easily tell if the Granada is a 200 or 250, count the bolt holes on the waterpump. The 200 has three bolts to attach the waterpump and the 250 has four bolts. Easy to remember bigger has more. The other easy way to tell, is to look at the sticker on the valve cover. 200 is 3.3 Liter 250 is 4.1 liter. Thake the head and dist., even if it is a 200. 200 and 250 heads are IDENTICAL.

Good Luck

I believe you will find the throttle cable bracket to be separate from the valve cover. It is a stamped steel piece that has 3 attachment points- 2 on the side of the block (one of these uses the same bolt that holds the coil on), and one that bolts to the carb spacer under the nut on one of the studs.

I've never compared a 250 throttle bracket with a 200 throttle bracket side by side, but I think it's likely the 250 bracket is taller due to that engine's taller deck height. If you can get all this stuff free or cheap you might as well pick it up though. You can't get the valve cover off without first removing the throttle bracket anyway.
