All Small Six A little help with a Clifford upgrade and a 1955 ford-o-matic transmission

I have a 1955 Customline 2-door sedan that is bone stock with a 223 and automatic trans. I've restored it a couple of times and now i want to upgrade the performance a bit. I have a new Clifford 6=8 setup with the webber 2-barrel carb, but the automatic transmission kickdown connection is a bit of a mystery. I see that Lokar makes many universal kickdown kits, but it is very hard to discern from their website which one I will need. Also, they make cable kits, and the OE was a solid rod. Does the cable conversion work?

Does anyone have any experience with this setup? Can you provide any images or part numbers that would help me get this installation off the ground?
