after a hour of driving.its starts to ping on acel,not bad,but just enough to bug me..temp runs 180,i have a fuel reg.on the webbers,could it be not enough fuel..
My guess is heat soak into the carb body, causing a higher incoming charge temperature. Only has to be a smidge and you're in it. It's sort of why the "rule of thumb" for setting timing has you retarding it 2° back from the last place you hear pinging.
