im putting a 2bbl carb on and i've seen some people do a vertical mount cleaner for clearence problems anyone have any ideas???

Sean, I have a 67 mustang with a direct mount Holley.

The air cleaner I use is as follows.

Using this air cleaner gives me at least 2" of clearance.

This dropped base air cleaner is 14" X 3"

This air cleaner can be ordered from big b auto 866-392-2442

I used an air cleaner off a '80 pinto for my Holley 5200. It has plentyof clearance with the Clifford Adapter. It was aluminum and cleaned up real nice.

look for a "drop base" air cleaner...I think FSPP sells them...or you can make one fairly easily

The drop bases are available at any major auto parts store. I bolted on a 4x2 air cleaner on my 1-bbl, looks kinda cool, and I have as much clearance with that than I did with the stock air box.

Looks like you'll still need a drop base for it, then also check the angles of the snorkels -- will the right side clear your valve cover (it should). The left side clear your fender??

it'll clear the to parts of the engine i checked it on that im just waiting to hear if it has a drop base or not if not then i have one at home
