Hey all,

Sorry Ive been tardy from the forums, college has really been killing me. But on to the problem at hand.

This morning I went out to the car and kicked it over and she came to life. Well almost. She was running but the alt light wouldent go out. So i shut her down and tore open the hood. Nothing out of place. All my cables are there, tight, and clean. I took out the alt and had it checked, working perfectly, took the battery down had it check, just fine. The voltage reg is brand new, maybe a month old. I dont know whats goin on. Any ideas?

Have 'em check the regulator too. Just because its new doesn't mean its not bad. Also check fusable links between the alt and battery. Usually when they go, its obvious, but sometimes the insulation stays intact and you can't see that it went bad. If all else fails, recheck the connections and scrub them all with a wire brush. Its amazing how much an unseen spot of corrosion can do.

problem solved. i went and replaced the voltage regulator and everything works perfectly. i even made some money lol.. I went and me being stupid didnt realize that it was under warrenty so i went bought a new one for 9 bucks, and when i got there they were like where is your old one? so i brought back my old one later and it turned out that, my old one cost 13 so i made 4 bucks. oh well pays for my gas to drive there and back lol.
