I am running a SS one like that.....or was (need to put it back on)
they work fine but the one I had was a B*TCH to get the cap on it. bare AL threads and water are a bad mix. although I am prob gonna remove mine and maybe go to a sealed overflow behind my grill.
While on the topic of radiator overflow tanks, thought I'd share with you what I did for my 63 Comet. I had an aftermarket universal plastic resevoir with a metal clip that worked fine but looked ordinary. I found a Merucury windhshield washer resevoir on eBay and converted it into an overflow tank by adding a second (high on the tank) line with stuff from the pipe section of the local hardware store.
So you can be very creative if you do not want to go with the universal tank- buy a nice chrome one or make one with Mustang or Mercury pride!
