Another Duraspark question :P

Well after advancing it to 12 degrees above top dead center it is almost as good as the old pertronix one. However the vacuum advance is not working yet because of the spark control valve signal so it bucks a bit still.

The big thing though is that now i can run a two barrel for the turbo that I plan to put on and in the future I can also put in a MSD module so its all good. All togethor I spent $90 on getting all new parts from parts stores then making my own harness. For my sisters mustang swap I plan on purchasing an old wiring harness and putting new wires just using the ends because I want hers to look more pro, you know how it goes, my car looks bad but will go like crazy, my little sis however needs one that is not only reliable but looks good as well.

Napa lists the DS2 connectors on their site. I never tried to order em but they are listed. Im too lazy to look back and see if we already covered this in this thread, I know it comes up often but I am very happy with the performance I am getting with the advance hooked to the manifold. One of our experts here claims it does not work well so maybe I got lucky. It dont cost nuthin but maybe a plastic T so it may be worth a try and get you by till you get on with the next stage of your project.

I still need to look into the connectors to try and clean up this installation and in preperation for my sisters but dang Fordconvert you were right on the money. I hooked it up to manifold vacuum and it has more low end then before with only slightly less top end probably due to the fact that there is no vacuum advance on the top end to even help a little.

For now though it will do as I should be moving to the next step in the process around next week so this will easily be driveable for now :).
