Well you can add me to the list of OZ headed (is that a word?) Mustang's on the road.

I got the head about 1 year ago and have been collecting parts very, very slowly.

Here is what I have done:

Oz head w/350 cfm carb.
Duraspark II w/MSD 6A
double roller timing chain
new cam
High Energy oil pan
header
Compression is 9.9:1

I have my origninal dyno of 82 hp. Once I acutally turn the engine over and get it tuned I will dyno it and see what these mods really do.

Pictures will be up hopefully tommorrow.

Just a little update. I am now a BELIEVER!! I kind of had some doubts about the kick in the pants. I knew it would make an improvement but not this much. I still have not dyno-ed the car. (My starter flange cracked.) But, take off is great! And going down the freeway is a whole other experience. I can go 90 and still have power to pass people up for a lane change. It's like a whole new car!!

Marco, I hate to say it but "I told you so".

Hey that's great news. To bad Ford never had the wisdom to make the change here in the US. We would probably have a lot more members, as the sixes lost to swaps may not have occured. Looking forward to the dyno results.

Hey Marco,

You say you have an original dyno of 82. That number is 20%+ better than the stock bench mark (65-67). It would be very helpful, from a benchmarking stand point, to know what mods you were running when you achieved that number.

Thanks - Steve

Not all dynos read alike. (Did you slip him a bill, Marco? ) Hopefully, if it's not recalibrated and he goes back, you can at least get a % improvement.
