another weekend another mod finished..DSII

Well a couple weeks ago I made the switch to a 5200 and have been pretty happy with it (needs a fatter jet maybe and some better linkage setup) Well back on tuesday I went out in the 99 degree 60% humidity weather to burn my hands on fenders pulling a duraspark setup out of a 1982 Tbird. grabbed the coil, dizzy, box and harness, wires and all. got out the door for $30 and $10 later for a new adaptor (it was broken before I got there) and that was it.

Well I got started on it around lunchtime today and got the old stuff out and then came in to cool off (no shade out there and tools got too hot to hold) had to hold off until later this afternoon but I got it all done now. I still need to mount the box (no screws on me) starts and idles great but haven't taken it out yet (just got it fired 10 mins ago) I set the timing at about 10 degrees for now (by a old as dirt dampener) I might take it out tonight or tomorrow morning for a test drive. this swap is def an easy must do item I would say. for me it took two wires to hook up only. one of those was redoing the coil end for the horseshoe and the other was the ignition switch lead (jus tmade a mini harness to go in befor ethe resister wire)

Sounds like a good day! Let us know how it runs. Any pics?
Good luck I hope it runs good for ypu.

no pics...nothign too fancy to see really. I will try to get some up for the 5200 setup I am running though. I think I have an idea on how to lay out the whole rear suspension for my 4 link project (satchel link) so should get that banged out soon.
