It sounds like you guys know whats available as far as adapters I could only locate one that adapts he 5200 to the single intake. would love to adapt a dellorto DRLA 36 36 straight 2 barrel I think it is off of a 2180 bug engine. I love the way the card looks and it certainly be different than any one elses. I can build an adapter but It would make it easier if I had some pictures of some of the experiments that you guys have tried. Is there enough meat on the log on a vintage 68 200 log to surface a flat to set a flange and weld in place? or would a 77 250 have enough meat to machine a flat mounting surface to weld a flange/mount. I know the flow is at least better than the 200. Has anyone thought about feeding the manifold from the ends of the log where the plugs are??? just wondering. thanks for the replys. Oh yeah I before you ask, I can weld the cast Iron.

Sounds like a cool project. I have seen people shave the tops of the head in order to take a 2 barrel carburetor. I am looking for something as well. Not sure what yet, though.

This is something you must do. Please consider using two Dellortos, and a plate in the original carb mount opening to create two divided plenums.

Some of the Argentinian 188-powered Falcons have been modified to run a single downdraught Weber IDF style carb. I don't know if the plenum is divided (would think not). It interested me, as these guys apparently get good timeslips but here in Oz a similar setup was very much criticised as a WOFTAM 20 years back.

Waste of time and money...
Einstein's other, less well known, equation.
Scientifically written: DCOE = C + $$$. There are several alternate versions, DLRA = C + $$$, IDA = C + $$$, etc. It is not a Ford specific formula.

PS, what happened to the sub and superscript tags? [sub]-[/sub] and [sup]-[/sup]? I.e. The motor was boring, it was 302 inches[sup]3[/sup].

This is a little different. Autolite 2100 in center and Weber ICT's from a VW hop up kit at ends. Dual port head manifolds, sleeved and welded to the log with modified dune buggy linkage made to work progressively.

Do you guys think those headers would fit a 250? Numbers 3&4 look kinda far apart.
if so,
Crenshaw, if you're not interested, then I'm all over them. they are right here in San Diego.

I just talked to him, he didn't know, he was selling them for someone.

I gave him the correct info and he's going to make the change.

For what it's worth, I have an argie sp intake on my 170. It is an open
plenum, great for land speed trials, wide open throttle, not the best for street driving although I drive mine daily. Thats my 2 cents worth. Paul.

I actually had a good idea the other night, but it would take a funky adapter. The old 2 and 4 barrels have SCVs on them (50's era). I have the intakes for them, and I could probably copy them and find some way to make an adapter for these carbs. I probably have 3 or 4 of each of the 2 and 4 barrels from the '56 F100.
