the general concencus that the aussie heads are awsome, i would not be one to detract from that. however i hear almost nothing (good or bad) about the argie head. i have not actually seen them side by side but from the photos online they seem remarkably similar. can any one tell me the differences in potential (performance) and reliability as well as physical differences (i.e. mounting to the american block)?
also every engine has better and worse heads according to the year of manufacture--what would be the best year of oz head for the 79 american block?
and finally i was wondering if anyone had tried anything REALLY wild with the log head such as sidedraft SU carbs, dual or trip webers, or my personal fave---a bank of side draft constant velocity motorcycle carbs. if you have tried it how well did it work?
im not building a funny car, i just want some hard 0-60 times and good dose of bling-bling plans for the future include a 5speed and 8.8 fox stang rear current curb weight is 2800 pounds (give or take a bit)
