Need some info..... I have a stumbling problem when I give it gas. After reading some of the same problems in other topics...I read some where that when I open the butterfly and look down into the carb, I should be able to see some gas being shot into the carb when I play with the throttle linkage. This being said...can I add gas to the bowl ( I'm rebuilding it again now) with it on the bench when I put it back together and check it out? I would think that should be not problem. Then I can see if its pumping like its suppose to before I put it back on the car.

Thanks,
Hump

You need to look at a 1100 schematic, cause there 2 check balls in the accelerator pump circuit.

wsa111....will do. I got a break-down and carried it to work and got is enlarged on the copy machine so I could tell more about it. Also... I thinking that there was 3 or 4 ( depending on which carb it is ) check balls. Mind is a 67- 200/AT w/ factory A/c.

Thanks,
Hump

Hi, your rebuild kit should have instructions and diagrams to guide the carb rebuild. Keep everything very clean. Check the float level, check everything. Don't overtighten the screws. You can add fuel on the bench through the bowl vent and the accelerator pump should squirt after opening the throttle a few times, But I would just put it back on the engine and get it running and adjusted. After the engine runs, shut it off, look into the carb, and open the throttle. You should see a nice accelerator pump squirt. Good luck
