Autolite 1100 alternative

200

I have a 1966 Ford Mustang 200 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder engine with an Autolite 1100 carburetor. First of all is there a high quality remanufactured 1100 on the market.
A simple remove one and install the new one. Also are there better carburetors for my engine that are new/ remanufactured direct bolt on.
Thanks

I would send the original to be rebuilt. Unless yours is in too bad of shape to rebuilt, corrosion wise, dirt build up can be dealt with. I don’t think they are made any more and finding a rebuilt one can be hit or miss too. At least if you have yours rebuilt you know the history 👍

This place will rebuild but I don't know any thing about them:

The Holley 1904 was a replacement for the 1100 and may be an easy swap. The 1101 has been swapped requiring modification at the carb base and maybe other items but has more cfm so could be a performance upgrade. Also Carter carbs were used on the 200 and are good carbs but you would have to investigate all the fitment details for the Carter and all these mentioned. Members on this forum have done this and will probably chime in.

Recently used carbs.us for a rebuild of my 1 bbl carb. They did an incredible job and highly recommend them. (not a paid sponsor, just a happy customer)100_9072.JPG
I'll add that this is an exact stock replacement with the correct code for the purists out there. :D
