Just a quick background. I recently bought a 63 falcon that im starting to restore. Its also my daily driver too. Last few weeks i've had some issues with the autolite 1100 carb. (170cu in) I bought a second carb just to have a spare if i should need one. While comparing the new carb to old carb i noticed two holes that are different sizes on both carbs. There is a small hole beside the groove that the pump springs sit in. What size should they be? On the old carb: acc pump side is .028 and dashpot side the hole is .026. Yet on the new rebuilt carb two holes are .012 on both sides. Is there a standard size for those holes? Just curious since the rebuilt carb wont work right at all. Car just stumbles and stalls out when it finally cranks up. I have not been able to find any info on hole sizes just basic expanded pics of the rebuild which dont have what im looking for.
