I had purchased the Autolite 1100 200 cfm carb from Classic Inlines that are now being re-built by one of the Pony Carb techs. I bought a 1965 Mustang with the 200 cid for my wife back in December of 2011. We had such a horrible time driving it as it always stumbled, hesitated and stalled. For many months I tried to find a replacement carb without having to modify the manifold. I also found out by numerous sites that the Pony Carb was out of business so I tried several other carb manufacturer's and had no luck. I found Classic Inlines off the internet when searchng for Autolite 1100 carbs. I had talked with Micahel Winterboer at Classic Inlines and he had suggested for me to use the Dura Spark II ingnition system as the 65 & 66 Mustangs had bad carb issues and ingition systems. I purchased the ignition system last summer and it improved the performance of the car and it kept the car from shutting off while driving. Unfortunately the Autolite 1100 carb was on its last leg and finally the accelerator pumps stopped pumping gas into the barrel causing it to starve for gas and making it hard to start without shooting carb start spray into the barrel to start the car. I went back ontol Classic Inlines page to see what other carbs were available as I had exhausted all other 1 brl options as I did not want to modify the manifold to adapt the two brl carb. I had noticed that Classic Inlines stated they now offer the 1100 carbs that are being re-built by one of the Pony Carb techs. I purchased one without hesitation. I had received the first one out of four they had stock and it works perfectly. I did not have to do any adjusting or mododifications. This carb and ignition system makes the car run better than new. I currently get 21 miles MPG. I highly reccomend to call Michael at Classic Inlines for your needs. The service, price, delivery etc. is perfect. I cannot believe on how nice and enjoyable it is now to drive the Mustang without any issues.
