AutoMeter Temp Sending Unit

I've got a bit of a problem. The TSU is too big for stock hole near the back of the block. I have relocated the TSU to the thermostat housing. It mounted up perfectly. I know, in order to get the most accurate reading it should be to the rear of the motor. Does anyone have a possible fix for this? I went ahead and installed the stock TSU in the stock location for the use of the "Idiot Light".

mine is mounted int eh stock location int eh back of the head...eithe rI used one bushing to get it in or it went in fine..can't remember. have no probs with mine. same goes for the oil one.
