Could you guys give me some insight as to when the BB200 was around and what cars it was in?

I am looking at building a BB200 with a t-5 and have the set up ready to drop in at some point. I figured I would go a BB route..does anyone see any problems with this going in a 66 Stang.

Thanks,

Jason

81-82 Granada/Fairmonts look here for info on conversion to T5. I'll be interested in your results.

Jason,

In our Handbook we cover putting a bb200/t-5 into a 61 Ranchero. Goto to the web site in my signature.

The builder, Paul, used some ingenuity to put a 5.0 bell and its t-5 on the back of the 200. The problem was the flywheel. Paul used a 250 flywheel and re-drilled the crank holes to fit the 200.

He tried to make his own cable clutch linkage, but it keeps breaking. He says if he had to do it over he would imitate one of the aftermarket kits that use the stock linkage and then go to cable. Either that or he would use a hydraulic clutch release.

He also had to lower the steering center link, but you won't have that problem on a 66 Must.

Good Luck
