BIg carburators and cylinders

when I go to get new pistons is it better to bore the cylinders out or buy stock replaacement pistons and new sleeves, which is less expensive?

THe falcon six performance handbook calculator on the internet tells me that I want 260cfm at 80% volumetric efficiency, but my brain says that I want 300 or better 500 cfm with a 260 cam...

will I gain power like this or will it just flood out the motor?

...and this is with a crossflow head with headers...

as far as i know, the only reason you'll need to go with sleeved cylinders is if you have one cyl that is damaged enough to need to bore it completely out, then be sleeved
if you don't have that, you shouldn't need to get your cyls sleeved, it's an extra expense, and it doesn't make sense to do it when you can go down to the JY and buy a virgin block

so, get the block to a shop and see what they say about the it, whether they need to bore it, or just have it re-honed
if they need to bore it, get pistons that match the bore size
