hello thought I better start a new topic seeing as the topic has now changed onto blocks.
Anyway what I am doing is replacing my current block (83da6016aa(ma54cP 8592) Ive been and had a look at a couple one I checked out was a 86DA but it said it was a 3.3 on the papers piston tops looked a much deeper dish than what I have in my 83da. head was a C2 and that looked different to my C1 with regard to the cut out parts around the valves.The bores showed a few tiny scratches that would have been made when it has been honed in its past. So its had a bit of a recon just how much is ?
Another one he had that I didn't take the head off yet is a 84da6015 (mh54l 86876) is this a 4.1 or a 3.3 ?
whats my best option? I want to purchase just a block with pistons,crank,cam. so I can bolt the rest of my gear from the 83da block on and go. The block has to match the sump patten of mine and bolt holes and dimensions need to be the same.
$50 for the small block $250 complete.
Boat application require approx 130hp at 3500rpm
