Break in oil question and manual tranny linkage pics

Two questions from a newbie in Texas. What oil would you recommend for a freshly rebuilt 200? Does anyone have a picture of the shift linkage on a stock 3 speed manual transmission on a 1968 coupe? Since we reinstalled the tranny 1 st and reverse are really hard to shift into. HAven't driven yet, just pushing in and out of the garage.

Thanks!

As far as the linkage goes, make sure you have the linkage the correct way, when I rebuilt mine I had the linkage for it backwards and it was really hard, but flipped it around and worked fine

Your initial break-in oil will be used for about 20-30 minutes and then dumped.
I am not a fan of costly boutique oils being used for break-in.
I'd use some cheap dino havoline or whatever.
You're going to slather the cam and lifters etc. with break-in lube, and that is going to get pumped through the system during the initial start-up anyways. IMHO. :|
