should i or could i put my c-4 hooked to my slightly tricked out 144? i have one and was wondering if it could or should be done.....if anyone could give me help thank you so very much...jake
sure it can be done, not sure what year block or the bolt patterns yours has, but mine has a factory c4 or c6 behind it (not sure which off the top of my head). but look for a later model mustang with a 200 in it (mine is a '79, first year of the foxbody.)
i have a early 144 just plain with ford-a matic 2 speed, i just thought with an adaptor it would work out good. i know the folks with 200 and 250,s have changed but not sure about 144 and 170's..jake
All 144, 170 and 200 blocks accomodate the C-4 as a direct bolt on provided you have the 6 cylinder bell housing. You will need to address the tranny mount issue separately plus linkage and driveline issues.
thanks to all that have posted. yes i knew bout the bell housing and adaptor for the tranny holder. i was just wondering if it would be worth it or not...thanks again, jake
