hey mark the C4 is a doninello box. I think he's best auto builder in the land. the converter has 2800 stall speed. Dominello guarantee's me that the box will handle 600hp plus.the box feels very strong.

Never heard of your guy. Know I can get good work in Sydney from George's Automatics or Advanced Automatic Transmissions. From memory, a built C4 (less stallie) ran close to $1K.

So, you're likely running 6 pinion planetaries... Raybestos friction material? Which kit/stage/ratios? Did you put a deep pan on it? What about cooling?

Adam.

the C4 does'nt come cheap , its was about $4000 with converter. It sounds like alot of money but the proof is in the box. the box is very very strong. my mate has got a dominello C4 in his VL and it made 440hp on the dyno, also ran 10.51 @128mph. You have to look at this way, get the box done right the first time. because if dont you will have to pay $4000 on top of the first rebiuld price. Trust me guys been there and done that, you will be kicking yourself in the long run if go the cheap way. you dont have to go to dominello , i'm just saying that anywhere from 3000-$4000 you get a strong box

 I'm really impressed. The C4 is a perfect combo for a turbo...its light, teak tough, and with the right stall, it must build the neatest slingshot the western world has ever known! You'll never miss a forth ratio with that thing!

I remember an overhead cam 2000 cc Ford punter in the US used to convey over 400 hp with his little turbo'd Pinto. The C4 was just a US-stock 4-cyl unit with a V8 clutch pack and 302 servo.

I think I remeber seeing an add for Dominellos wasn't he saying 800 hp as a upper limit?

Hope you use two pot epoxy to stick youreself in...

 from :NZ: -land, and former Turbo V6 Punter!
