I noticed on the stock cam there is a spacer behind the dowel pin where the timing gear mounts. Its approx 0.150 thick. I swapped that cam out for a Clay Smith cam and am using the double roller timing setup. It seems that the new gear in this kit is about 0.600 thick as opposed to the old stock 0.500. Question is: Do it need to install the spacer when using the new gear setup, or does the extra thickness in the gear negate its need? I hope I described this well enough. Please let me know if you need any more details!
