can someone put up some pics of smog pumps

i need to get an idea of how to mount my new smog pump, the idea is to run a oil/air separator from where the pvc was to the smog pump which will be used backwards to pull the contaminated air out of the engine and help seal my rings better

Varaitions on a theme are anti lag devices and there is a standard evacusump set-up in Modifiying Fords SOHC engine (Pinto 1300/1600/1800/2000 sohc) by David Vizard. To use a vac pump which has about 25 cfm will provide 4 cfm per cylinder at about 5000 rpm, which will significantly reduce ring tension, blow by, and my reduce ring flutter.

Sorry for the delay. I've heard you've already got it installed form your other posts, butas promised.

Pump is attached by a D7BE-9B452-AB steel bracket with another trigulated item linked above the Power Steering pivot on my 1982 3.3 Mustang engine. Don't have the details for the alloy braket sorry.

The air pump runs a later air pump which was changed with the 1981 model year for reduced emissions. Mine is a yellow sticker ABE air pump, PN E1ZE-G2A, rated at 413 cfm or 31 lb/hr. Its definately a lot bigger than a Toyota air pump. With the AC/Alt/PS 3.3 Fox engine, you have a Motorcraft D42E-8620-F2A belt, and it should be easy to retrofit. Pully on air pump is D5DE-9C480-BA.
