I can rememeber if I rear this or am just confused. Do some of the 200's have intakes that can't be removed? I have a 65 and want to start with headers and an intake. Possible? Are these pretty simple mods to start with?

That's a no if you own a US log intake molded on your head. If you had the OZ or Argentina head, then you could take off the intake manifold.

We’ve covered this many times and a few of us have actually hacked off the intakes with some type of power tool. That’s actually how I earned the ‘Der Hackmeister’ title along with the SawZall pic. If you’re interested, I have a D7 head you can have (seeing as how you are so close). I pulled it from a ’78 Granada a few years ago and it has been sitting under the bench collecting dust. It has the largest intake, big valves and hardened exhaust seats for unleaded fuel. It would need to be gone through, as with any used head, but it would be a much better head to start with than the one you currently have. A little port work will really open it up to breath well. This log is the flat-top type, which would easily take to modifying it for a direct 2bbl bolt on. Check out MustangGeezer’s site for pics on that.

CHOP THE LOG!!! DO IT!! LoL It's fun.Really it is.Fixing Ford's screw up.Can't wait till I get my front end and wiring finished so I can get a test run when I get the intake fabricated.
