carb adjustment

This one may be an easy one, but I need help. I am having trouble with the idle on my 1100. I just had the carb rebuilt and I am have trouble with the idle when the engine is warm. The engine revs to high, but when I tap the gas the idle drops to a normal or appropriate level. Does anyone know what is casing this high rev and then drop when tapped? BTW, it is fine when cold and not yet warmed up.

Sounds as though it's catching slightly on the last step of the choke cam. What about shutting off the motor when it's idling fast to see if that is the case?

Thanks Adam. It was catching on the choke cam. Spent most of the afternoon fiddling with the 1100 and the dizzy and I have to admit, she is running so sweet now, I may never touch her again (fat chance) . When Mike has his heads ready, I hope to add a DUI and 390 4V to go along with the new head. Nice to dream about the extra power!
