carb number...

Alrighty i looked at the carb tag on my 223 (1964) and it says Autolite and the number is DPOF Y
This is no where near the part numbers that my shop manual talks about. Does anyone know what this is off of? It seems to have the vacume soloniod thingy for the vac advance so i guess thats working right. I just what to make shure this carb is compatable whith my dist.

D'you mean DOPF? That'd be 1970, so almost certainly no spark control valve. Unless the right carb has the wrong tag!

ill have to take a look at it again to see if your corect. It has something that looks kinda like a spark control valve (at least from the pics in my shop manual). Next time im in Spokane ill snap some pics of that carb and post em up so i can get a positive id.
