When using a carb spacer on a 4bbl, what are the advantages to using a 4 hole spacer or an open plenum design? What is the purpose in the different designs?
What intake manifold are you running?
With the Offy DP you must run a 4 hole spacer or you defeat the entire purpose of the DP.
Other than that, the 4 hole spacer adds marginally to runner length which tends to help low to mid-range power if the intake manifold has a matching 4 hole mounting surface ; the open spacer adds to plenum volume which tends to help top end power. These are very minor differences though
