There is or may be 3 screws to adjust..
1) is for Fast idle (when choke is on)
2) is for curb idle ( when motor is at runing temp)
3) is for Air fuel mixture (it is located in the base of the carb)
1) would be located on the linkage side and would be resting against a notiched step cam from the choke assembaily.
2) would be located on the linkage side and would be resting against the throtal linkage as it comes from the firewalll or pedal..
3) is located in the base plate of the carb and well have like a spring on it between the head of the screw and the base plate of the carb. this is for air'/fuel mixture.. this one is turned in or out to optain best (smoothest) idle after the motor is warmed up. You would work between this one and the curb idle (#2 screw) to optain curb idle of like 650 to 750 rpms. A little goes a long way with the mixture screw a 1/4 to an 1/8 of a turn at a time usualy to optain best idle..
good luck
