You might try asking your parts stores for a carb off a later model 250. The Autolite 1101s are kinda rare. Say, a '73 Maverick. That should get you a Carter RBS carb and should bolt right up.

Ask them for a carb for a 1965 F100 with a 240. You should get a nice 215 CFM 1101 Autolite. If you don't, refuse to take it. 1967 should get you an Autolite 1101 as well, but without spark control valve (found in loadomatic setups).

went online they have champion ford model 1101 carb also a tomco model 1101, and also the carter rbs which is better

What about NEW carbs? (My last thread did not get much response) Webber makes a new one barrel, right? I'm not sure where I'd look for one, How about any other brands? I don't want another rebuilt 1100- I went through about three of them from Tomco on my old comet with little luck. They had even plugged up the vent rod hole! I want to drive my car soon and the 1100's I have are all worthless  any suggestions?

Come on, somebody's gotta have something to say on this......

Weber ICT. They have a 34mm throttle bore, so that's about a 26mm venturi... kinda small, but it's new, and a Weber. Looking in my Weber book, it might bolt right on.

Pony Carburetors. They have every carburetor you can think of at a great price and warentee to. they have a very good noligable people working for them
There website is http://www.ponycarburetors.com/main.asp
and there phone # is 1888-280-4630.

hey, Inliner,

How is the 34mm bore comparable to the 1.5 or 1.75 in bore 1100? Do they make a larger one for use on the 250? If I were sure I wanted to go with tri-power down the road (and I'm not), I'd get the new webber right now and two more later. But if it has less performance than the "blueprinted" '68 spec 1100 from pony carbs, then I'll have to consider that. But I don't have a core to exchange, so price is a definate factor.

Wes,

Last time I priced it about 2 years ago, but pony carbs route with no core to send in was about $220. Not cheap, so that's why I'd like to look at other options. Maybe Holley makes a carb for our cars- more research needed!
