Does anyone have any ideas for carburetor linkage when converting to a 1BBL to 2BBL setup? This problem is starting to drive me crazy.

With my current setup with the carburetor is about 2" to the left of the original throttle linkage location (maybe more) and about the same height wise.

Ideas?

Yes and no.

My carb will only fit on the Clifford adapter with the fuel bowl facing the valve cover. Once I figured that out, it bolted right up (if I turn it around then the holes are off centered). So the linkage is on the left side like the original YF I had but it's too far left (towards firewall) to hook up to the cars linkage.

I think I can fabricate something but pictures (like yours) will definately help!

Thanks!

Check out what I have done with the same installation.

I had actually removed the linkage rod and cut the rod at the firewall in order to rotate up before making the final bend toward the carb.

If you want a more detail procedure let me know.

Good luck, Ric.

I used a setup like what Mustang_Geezer shows in the "where's the chrome" posts in this forum: inlinefever.homestead.com/files/2V5.jpg this is a good picture, not sure what carb your using. but mine is a 5200 holley like the one in this picture. I actually mounted the carb exactly backwards from this picture at first trying to get the existing linkage to work with poor response. There is another pic from the front showing the linkage to the carb, but i couldn't find it. This setup works perfectly for me. hope this helps.
