HELLO ALL

I HAVE A CARTER BRS CARB THAT I WOULD LIKE TO REBUILD. I HAVE NO IDEA ON HOW TO DO IT. DOES ANYONE RECOMMEND ANY BOOKS OR PUBLICATIONS THAT EXPLAIN WHAT TO DO? HAS TO BE PRETTY ELEMENTRY SO I CAN UNDERSTAND IT.

THANKS

JOHN

All of the carb kits that I've used have a very nice diagram included, use that. Thats what I do. Take care,
Edwin

I recommend rebuild kits made by standard motor products and kem; keep in mind that with a complete rebuild, the floats should also be replaced, especially the newer ones made from closed cell plastic foam.
those do not come with the kits usually and need to be bought separately.

I have found no source for replacement jets yet (anybody who knows where to get those?)

this or a similar diagram, among gaskets and new needle and seat, is what you will find in your rebuild kit:

like Hemingway said in one of his novels (although completely different relation), you´ll need a "clean, well lighted place", Easier to keep track of all the parts and rods and screws, but one that can get dirty also.

if you have further questions, go ahead and don´t refuse to ask.
