Will a Carter RBS install on a '67 Mustang with no throttle linkage mods? I'm currently running an Autolite 1100.

I'm told the carb is out of a '70-71 something-er-other with a 200. Don't have my Falcon 6 handbook handy to review any stuff there. It's a free carb if the guy can find it in his garage. I don't want to take it if it won't work for me.

I'm not sure if the throttle bore is the same or not, but that's an easy spacer fix at work. I just don't want to fab another linkage. Any other stuff to worry about with this swap?

thanks,

PS-I'm aware of the Load-o-matic issue. I have a DSII ready to install. :)

Hody Mikey:

No the RBS will not adapt to stock '67 linkage. It is a nice upgrade as it flow 215 cfm as compared to 185 cfm for your stock 1100. The linkage is not to difficult to overcome and these carbs are quite rare so I'd grab it just for future possibles trades or resale.

Adios, David

Gracias. If the guy has it, I'll try to snatch it up.
