Carter YF adapter to small opening head source help?

Hi, new to the forum and trying to help a friend of mine who isn't very internet savy. He has a 1965 Mustang with a 200 in it and we figured out someone plunked a carter YF on it explaining why it has a bad vacuum leak at the base. Inline Classics lists an adapter to mount this carb to the 1.5 inch opening head, but I figured out looking through the forum posts the sad situation there. I was wondering if anyone knows a different source for an adapter to fit a 1.75 base carb to a 1.5 head or any tips or tricks to get thgings mounted. Thanks!

no I don't but ClassicInlines.com may B a place to look and ask...
there's a few Falcon forums and some (limited) Ranchero's (2 I know of).

As of now Classic Inlines is not available due to Mike's passing.
As of now you can contact Does10s & see if he has it available from Mike's inventory.

add a 0.5" alloy spacer so the carb can stay in the stock postion. I made one like this, which allowed me to mate the early 1.3" log head to my 1981 Mustang block. with the 1981 Holley 1946 carb, same size as YFA Carter. You are copying the late 1981 to 1983 adaptor to suit the early Ford small six stud pattern.

It has to be like an AK MIller 1101 Autolite conversion to the old 67 Mustang as decribed in Hopping up the Mustang Six.

Grab some 0.5" alloy.

Cut it down like this (use a little more finesse than I did though...).

And you dough is bread

Thank you,
have done so for the 250 studs/nuts/washers;
just can't tell which of 4 kits to get (three for 144 - 250 and one kit for 250 only)
$50 - $80 all great prices! all quality (APR) parts!

Thanks. I can't seem to PM Does10s probably because I'm new in the forum but I'll give him a try when I'm able to. If we have to we can try making our own adapter, but there is so much to do on this car it would be easier to buy a bolt and go piece. Thanks all for the help!
