Carter YF carb ID

I went to ebay, and there are several differant looking Carter YF carbs.

This one

....both are differant. There is one for a ford 240, but I'm thinking that might be too much cfm for a stock 200, and have yet a bigger flange/hole than my 3 3/8 bolt spacing and 1.75 hole, right? Would the AMC carb be the same as the ford manifold?

The one off the 240 is the one a lot of guys talk about using for the 200. Haven't done it myself yet, but they say it wakes the engine up a little bit.

I think 105 is a little steep for that AMC carb, but that's just my opinion. You can find a rebuilt from Advance or Autozoo for not a lot more and you'd get a warranty with it.

That's odd- I e-mailed the guy with the carb for 240, and he said it has the smaller 1 5/16 in bore and 2 3/4 bolt spacing- must be for an early engine as my 200 head is designed for a bigger carb than that.

Good call. I wonder if there was a lot of mixing and matching with carbs and engines. I always thought the carbs off the bigger sixes were all larger bores. Goes to show you gotta double check them all.

The factory adaptor I have on this head to go to a smaller carb was a red flag that something strange was up- I'll keep on looking!

This is listed as an autolite, but isn't it a Carter YF? Look's like it has the bigger bore and bolt pattern but I'm not sure.
