I've got a '70 engine in my 66 Mustang - with a Carter YF carb. Trying to troubleshoot this problem since last summer: when the engine is warm, it stalls upon accelerating from a stop (not a great thing in traffic).
I've rebuilt the Carter, but there is a dashpot on the side that doesn't connect to anything! The picture of the carb in the rebuild kit shows this dashpot with a 'rod' (rod is missing) Is it some kind of accelerator pump?
Could this be the stalling problem? Any other suggestions to address this stalling problem??
Appreciate any suggestion!
