Champion Plug heatrange #'s

Please just need CHAMPION plug info:

What are part numbers for Champion plugs for the six. What numbers correspond to different heat ranges for Champion plugs.

I want to try different (colder) standard duty plugs than stock typically uses in the mild six.

There also are new numbers I believe that correspond to platinum tip applications for the sixes.

For general info, I got the answer on the HAMB from those greaser - rat rod guys. Man they know their sh#$...'


Ford '6' engines use Champion 'RF' series plug which is:

1. 18MM Thread
2. .460" Reach
3. 13/16" hex
4. Tapered Seat

The Heat Ranges run as follows:
Hot #RF18YC (#11)
RF14YC (#21)
RF11YC (#22)
Cold RF9YC (#409)

Depending on what specific engine your staring with, the RF18YC and RF14YC were the factory heat ranges.

Yeah, those guyz is baad-ass. I participate regularly for technical info. The HAMB may not be mostly polite like FSP but there is an amazing amount of technical brains over there.
