i need to replace my flexplate because of a cheap starter and i can do it my self but i don't have a jack or sturdy enough jackstands to take out the tranny so i might have to take it to a shop. but do you guys think that 300 bucks is too expensive to get the new flexplate that i already have put in? i think it is.

If you plan to do much work on the car yourself, buy four six-ton jackstands and a (at least) 3 ton hydraulic jack. These are a MUST for any car restoration.
