Choke attachment questions

The knob i think is the choke is disconnected. I am not sure what it is really. Its a black knob with a white letter "T" on it in under the HVAC controls. The cable goes into the engine and ends. I think it the choke cuz there is no other knob for the choke. Idk if it has a auto choke or not. So the question is where on the carb do i attach it? it doesn't look any thing is missing. Thanks

The auto chokes have a round black housing that stands off the side of the carb on its own little cast base with the linkage between the carb body and the housing with the black cap on it. There will also be a threaded nipple off the side of that housing that should have a piece of tubing that ran down to a special hole in the exhaust manifold.

The manual choke carbs just had a lever that the cable hooked to that then had a link to the choke butterfly. There was also a bracket with a clamp on it for the cable housing to hook to.
