Cleaning 2V manifold

Ive picked up a 2V head and manifold. The manifold is pretty dirty and has the starts of that white corrosion.
Am I better off attempting a clean up with a wire wheel, or sandblasting it.
cheers
Ben

Cheap way: Go to the auto parts store and get aluminum brightener or cleaner. Some are acidic and some are not, if you have lots of corrosion the acidic might be better. You spray or brush on, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse off. Repeat a few times and that should help.

More expensive way: Have part glass beaded. Without a doubt glass beading will make the part look brand new.

Yep, that sounds like what I want. I'll have a go, might even post some before & after pics
