I recently ordered a rebuilt harmonic balancer from Damper Doctors. I was installing it today, and after reinstalling my water pump pulley, i noticed they were very close. I'm pretty sure that I wouild have noticed they were close before, but maybe not. I've got the double groove balancer, and im pretty sure it is the same diameter as my last one, since it had a C8 casting on the back. I never held them side by side (I should have) before installing them, however. They arent touching, but it's a pretty slim fit. How close are they supposed to be?
