Compression test results....Valve guides?

what can be some causes for this?
Here are the compression test results in PSI:
#1 -119
#2 -124
#3-123
#4-129
#5 -100
#6-123

I'm think it's the valve guides.

Thanks!

valve guides dont affect compression. chances are you have a burnt valve or a broken ring.

alright thanks. It smokes like crazy with acceleration and smokes at idle if that means anything

i think you have a broken ring then. and smoke can also be a symptom of bad valve guides, just not lower compression. i have a similar situation with my 64 falcon, i believe it also has a broken ring.

Is it fine to drive as is?. And wouldnt compression be lower if a ring is broken

yes its fine to drive as is, you will just be down on power. and your compression in number five is much lower than the rest. the ring may only be broken in one place which acts like a really big ring gap.

Damn alright. Just thought comprrssion was too high for that

just remember to keep a tight control on detonation, do that and you can run as much as 10psi boost on a 9:1 compression engine.
