coolant heated carb spacer question

I asked this question in the 240-300 forum and thought I would check here as well.

Does anyone know if the coolant heated carb spacer that came on the small block 170-200 engines from 63-68 would fit on the stock 300 intake under a Carter YF?

It will save me the trouble of finding one if anyone here knows for sure.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I thought that the 300 never had a heated carb spacer because the intake was heated through an exhaust exchanger (where the intake bolts to the exhaust manifold right under the carb)?

I doubt a small 6 part would work since they are set on a diagonal on the head but the carb bolts are perpendicular to the valve cover.

I finally got around to answering my own question. Spent some time wandering around an older car wrecking yard yesterday and purchased a single barrell water heated carb spacer off the mid sixties small block six for $2.50 and brought it home along with some other "treasures". I can now tell you with certainty that it will not fit the big block six or the carter yf and cannot be modified to do so. None of the bolt holes can be made to match and the throat or opening for the fuel/air mixture is significantly smaller.
