Coolant leak from rear of block

Is there a freeze plug at rear of '65 200 block? I have coolant dripping off rear main bearing (not from main, just from back of block). There are no leaks elsewhere externally on engine. There is no coolant showing in engine oil.

Thanks in advance for any ideas on the origin of this leak. I am also not sure head bolts (Classic Inline head w/ARP studs) which penetrate water jacket were installed with sealant.

Yes there is ,next to cam plug, at least on a 66 and up. I am sure a 65 is the same . You sure it is not leaking at rear head block . There is also a core plug at the back of head.
Front passenger side is the only one that goes to water jacket.

Thanks much for your info. There is no external leak from intake and rest of engine-definitely from between block and trans. Engine has only a few hours in it. I installed MSD atomic efi on Classic Inlines head and intake (Paxton SN-89 supercharged) and found this leak upon start-up after the vehicle had not been started for about a year. I suspect that the engine builder did not put any/sufficient sealant around freeze plug at back of block . In general, I don't believe in block sealant but am considering administering a small amount for this leak. Do you have any sealant suggestions? I was thinking of the GM tablet type used on small leaks on Corvettes.

Hi, There is a freeze out plug directly behind #6 cylinder into the water jacket, in the bell housing. I would think about a block sealer unless the leak is really bad. Good luck

I would not use block sealer, and glop up the nice Al head that you have. Pull trans and do it right. If it is leaking it could be loose ,and blow out if you blow a head gasket. O and you will , boost is addictive! That rear plug is the least problematic one did it freeze?

I am open to the best core plug install seal method. Anybody?

My thanks to all for the thoughtful advice. It's not now a strong leak, and I'll get the msd efi working at idle first before deciding on a remedy.
