Hello,...
This is the first time I have posted on this board...I was out checking all the fluids and seeing why it was running load...I found out why...the exhaust gasket between the exhaust manifold and the pipe is blown...and when I was looking at the blown gasket I noticed that the head is cracked...
about four months ago I had a blown head gasket and slightly cracked and warped Head on my 66 Falcon with a 200 six...I went to get another one...it was cracked from the carb plate down inside the the number 3 and 4 exshaust ports..so that was a 75 lbs paperweight...so I found anothere one...but it was cracked and the same place...but not as severe...so I had the local welding shop weld it for me...I have been using my falcon for my daily transporation...since I have no other vehicle at this time...I'm looking to get another vehicle so I can take my falcon off the road, pull the engine and properly rebuild it...I was wondering if any of you guys and gals might have a spare 200 rebuildable head that I can buy??....I know I have to rebuild my carb...since it takes awhile to up down from the fast idle cam(sticking or what?)....I have rebuild a chevy 250 six...but It imploded on me because I didn't replace the piston rings...so I sort of know what I'm doing. I hope you guys and gals can give me some pointers in the right direction
