I’ll be pulling my 200 out of my 67 in the next month or two to rebuild the engine. Going with new cam, push rods, lifters, flat top pistons, double timing chain, Duraspark II, milled(.040) and decked(zero), 2100 carb, and header with dual 2†exhaust. The head I’ll be using is out of a 78 Fairmont. Compression will be in the high 9.x. I’ve been stockpiling the parts for the job over the summer and have almost everything.
Should I replace the crankshaft while I’m in there? It has 56K miles on it and was parked outside for 11 years.
Thanks,
Tom
