The cylinder head casting number is "C9DE-6090-M"

I was at mustang geezers site and a couple others that had decoding guides for these numbers... and it points to the fact that this head is from a '69 falcon... is this correct?

Not necessarily. It's from a 250, but could be from a Maverick, Ranchero, or a Mustang as well. It's the first of the "big log" heads, and should have a fairly flat top to the intake... very suitable for fitting a 2bbl carb.

So it could be from a mustang or maverick as well... but it would be from a 1969 engine? cause it's on a 1970 mustang right now.
Just wondering cause the original owner said it was the stock engine

They didn't re-design heads every year. I think the C9 "M" heads were used on 250's until 1973 (My old Mav had a D3 casting). So it's probably the original head.
