I put this in WANTED but I'll try here also. I am in need of a set of cylinderhead bolts for a '68 200 from a mustang. Any ideas where I can locate a set of these?
Hi Steven.RE:Bolt icon.We sure need one around here, what with all the nuts present. With ME at the top of the list. :rolflmao: :rolflmao: :rolflmao:
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.
Jeff, i would purchase the head stud kit from Mike @ classic inlines.
The way these engines leak coolant on the left side of the headgasket, i would put the best on.
Remembler the front right stud sometimes has to be shortened so it does not hit the water pump impeller.
Since this is the only stud to be exposed to coolant it needs sealant when installed. Bill
Chad, the weeping on the left side of this engine is common.
There was a post several years ago where you machine the block or head to install an o'ring seal on the block to head coolant passages on the left side of the engine. This is a common problem especially on a late head milled .080" which thins the sealing of the head. Bill
That's some great info, Bill. :!:
Is there a stickie on it, or some other way to get the details? Thanks for postin this info (directed to Jeff) here for us ...
Thanks, folks. Right after I posted this my brain kicked into gear and I went to AMK. I was able to get them there, but I will keep the other location in mind for the future. Jeff
