D6DE - what car origionally?

i've got the falcon perf book and i believe my block is a 250 out of a 1976 or newer car...
any ideas as to which one based on the last 2 letters?

The book says the 2nd D is for falcon. did they make American falcons in '76?

No, they didn't. However, it may have made sense to carry over the basic block designations. Certainly a 1976 casting design there.

im just trying to get a car in mind to "buy parts for" at the supply house since the engine is actually in the '65 pony.

1977 granada, maverick, etc.

need an exhaust gasket and DSII setup and more parts later...

Check the last letter a "D" again. "O" is for Fairlane.
