Hi, Everyone recommends E0xx for a 200 build. Is there a difference between that head and the D8BE I just found in the junkyard? Seems like they would be the same.
Hi, the D8 head will work out fine as long as it is in decent shape to begin with. You will get big valves, hardened valve seats, and the larger carb flange. I'm glad I found one for myself. Good luck
IIRC the E0xx has slightly more volume in the intake tract than a D8xx. Not enough to matter. Other than that they are alike. The slight difference in volume may be due to the added taps and bung needed for E0xx EPA requirements.
